M A R B L E

Whenever I go shopping, I try my hardest not to limit myself by sticking to my well-known favorite stops. I find that it's often the random, hidden, unexpected places that yield the most unique pieces. As an avid thrifter and bargain princess, this same rule applies. I shop in every section. Yes, this means the men's section too and sometimes the boy's if I'm looking for a used pair of kicks or a simple button down. It's amusing and comical at times to be the only girl sifting through used men's t-shirts and throwing heaps of old bomber jackets into a shopping cart. Many of my staple pieces are secretly menswear, and I'm cool with that. Like most of my oversized tees, this marble shirt-dress came straight out of the men's section. For once, this outfit contains only one thrifted item; my camel coat that I am all too obsessed with.

P.S. - I realize I've neglected to offer any makeup details in my posts. Despite this being mostly a fashion blog, for anyone with questions about certain makeup looks, don't hesitate to ask! I am mostly an amateur when it comes to makeup related endeavors, but I'd love to share my makeup bargain tips with anyone that's interested.

S U I T - Y O U R S E L F

The pantsuit - something well known throughout history as being associated with positions of power. As a woman, I feel powerful in a suit and it's boxy, more "masculine" features. I enjoy this feeling of sophistication the pant suit allows, even when I don't have any important destination in mind. There's something to be said about the freedom the pantsuit has given women, and continues to give women every day. I am declaring this a new staple in every women's wardrobe, even for those who don't work in an office or have themselves a big girl job yet (ahem me, whoops). To keep it casual, I threw on some Nike Air Force One's, and a simple knitted crop top for the second version of this look. Pink and Powerful

A big thank you to the wonderful Fatimeh Nadimi who worked her magic and took all of these lovely photos. You can check out her work here as well as locate her contact information for booking future shoots. She is beyond talented and a total babe, and I highly recommend her if you're interested in getting any sort of photos taken.
