The sheer slip dress appeals to me for many reasons. Mainly it's the sheer effortlessness (no pun intended) of throwing on a weightless piece of fabric without feeling too overdressed or weighed down by heavy layers of cloth. Somewhere between a nightgown and an evening dress, I vote this 90's trend is here to stay. Who doesn't love the idea of underwear-as-outwear anyway?
First popularized by Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, and a handful of other supermodels in the late 90's, I'm happy to see the slip dress has made somewhat of a come back. When I saw this golden beauty hanging on the sales rack, I couldn't resist. Summer is approaching, so I pulled out my fake Birks to keep this look easy and comfy.
